Women
Joan Kelly and Sandra Kirk combined well in the 4bbb stableford competition on Thursday, winning with 40 points from Margaret Dennett and Robyn Robinson on 39. Rundowns went to Coralie Volgyesi and Robyn. Margaret (0.39m) also won the approach.
This Thursday members will decide the competition before hitting off.
On Saturday in the BBB stableford competition Coralie won with 35 points on a countback from Val Plath, with Fiona Dowling third on 34 points. Helen Ricciardi (0.78m) won the ladies’ approach on 6&15.

Men
Over the Easter weekend members enjoyed a Saturday and Monday BBB Stableford competition.
On Saturday, Dave Robinson recorded 38 points top win on countback from Roger Draper, with rundowns to Ray Walker, Nigel Radin and Michael Stanton (36), with a final rundown to Ken Albion on 35 points.
Blake Dowling put his second shot in the hole to win the approach on 1&10 and visitor M. Cowie did the same on 4&13 to win the approach there.
On Monday the two Martells fought out the competition with Dad Brett on 39 points triumphing over son Will on 36 – a rundown went to Norm Plath on 35. The approach on 4&13 was won by Hoss Eberl his second shot 0.45m from the hole.

Reminder - a new venture begins on Saturday, April 9, with the introduction of a ‘Happy Hour’ to begin after trophy presentations and lead into a ‘Curry night’ prepared by resident chef, Michael Stanton. Wine drinkers please b.y.o. We hope this will become a monthly event.
Vets
Members and visitors were welcomed to our Vets’ Carnival for 2016, with a large field nominating for the stableford event, sponsored by House of Golf and Ross Grey Holden.
Kev Shaw (G.G.) won Men’s A Division with 39 points from locals Peter Hrelja (38) and Ray Walker (37). In B Division Isis player Lazlo Volgyesi won with 39 points from 13 times 3, with Ray Crosby (Burr.) second on 37 on a countback from Ken Albion who was third also on a countback.
Jan Bourke (Gay.) with 42 points claimed the Women’s Division from Melody Smith (Innes Pk.) on 37, with Sandra Kerley (H.B.) third on 36.
On 1&10, no A Division player hit the green, with Bob Cochrane (1.59m) winning the B Division approach, and Rae McCliskie (0.85m) winning the ladies’ approach. On 4&13, A. Muscio (H.B.) won the A Division pinshot 1.8m from the hole; K. Styles (Burr.) the B Division approach in the hole; and Rose Cochrane from Isis the ladies’ approach. On 6&15, G. West (H.B.) won the A pinshot 0.76m from the hole; Rusty Usmar the B Approach 0.24m from the hole; and Cynthia Draper the ladies’ approach 0.25m from the hole.
A thoroughly enjoyable day for most, with the course in fine condition thanks to so many volunteers and a wonderful lunch and after game snacks provided by the ladies, who were generously applauded by grateful members and visitors.
Next Tuesday the scheduled competition will be played, with hit-off at 12 noon.
